Double A List for Climate Change and Water Security

SEKISUI CHEMICAL has been named to CDP’s prestigious Double A List for Climate Change and Water Security for the second consecutive year, and for the first time, to the A- List for Forests. CDP, a global non-profit, evaluates companies on environmental transparency and action, scoring over 5,800 companies in 2020. SEKISUI was among just 17 Japanese companies recognized in both Climate and Water categories.

Guided by its long-term vision "Vision 2030" and the statement “Innovation for the Earth,” SEKISUI is committed to ESG-driven growth and solving social challenges. The company’s Environment Sustainability Vision 2050 outlines its path to a decarbonized society, targeting net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and 100% renewable electricity by 2030.


To address water risks, SEKISUI aims to reduce its environmental impact and support biodiversity through sustainable water use and local watershed collaboration.

SEKISUI ranked in Top 10% of S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025

SEKISUI has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the 13th consecutive year and ranked in the top 10% of S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2025. Out of 7,690 companies assessed across 62 industries, only 780 were selected.

The company was recognized for excellence in Climate Strategy, Product Stewardship, and Human Rights. These achievements reflect SEKISUI’s ongoing commitment to ESG principles and its mission to create a sustainable society through innovation and responsible business practices.
