The Operations division consists of three departments: Maintenance & Setup, Logistics (including Material Handling & Rewinding) and the Production department. The last department is responsible for the production of PVB interlayer film.

The position
The Assistant Production Manager supports and coaches the Shift Supervisors in organizing production activities in order to achieve production targets with regard to safety & environment, quality and output.
In addition to identifying and discussing bottlenecks, the role focuses on analysing KPI results and production data and reviewing these with the Shift Supervisors, enabling the implementation of solutions and continuous improvements.
The Assistant Production Manager prepares and manages the action plan for the Production department, based on the Production department’s policies.
Furthermore, the Assistant Production Manager is involved in various meetings and in personnel-related matters within the department, such as absence management and participation in recruitment and selection interviews.
What You Bring
You hold a completed bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in a relevant field and have demonstrable experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment. For this position, we are looking for a hands-on leader who brings calm, structure, and clarity, and who is energized by improving processes as well as developing people.
You coach our Shift Supervisors in a supportive manner, hold them accountable for results, and assist them in making decisions related to planning, staffing and performance.
Furthermore, you are visible on the shop floor, approachable and able to build trust, while also being clear and consistent in setting expectations and agreements. You are skilled at connecting with various departments, including Maintenance & Setup, Logistics & Production Planning, Quality, HR and others, effectively acting as a link between policy and execution.
You take ownership of ensuring a safe working environment and have a strong focus on quality, environmental responsibility, and compliance with procedures and regulations.
