European EHS Managers Meeting

The 2025 European EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Managers meeting brought together colleagues from all SEKISUI companies to discuss pivotal topics, including the reinforcement of safety rules and culture, environmental compliance, and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

SEKISUI safety culture

The meeting highlighted the importance of having a strong safety culture, engaging every employee in safety initiatives and the role of leadership in promoting a safety-first mindset.

Safety Dojo

The group also visited the SEKISUI Safety House, a facility used by all Roermond-based companies, where new employees get trained on safety and can experience risks in a protected environment.

Environmental Compliance

Staying ahead of regulatory requirements is crucial. The managers reviewed current practices and emphasized continuous monitoring to ensure environmental sustainability and compliance, incl. the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The CSRD mandates comprehensive sustainability reporting. The managers discussed aligning our practices with CSRD requirements, focusing on transparency and accountability.

Focus on Occupational Health

Additional Key topics centered on enhancing the occupational health of our employees and outlining our main initiatives for the next fiscal year. For instance, how to take care of employees' health during their physical tasks such as lifting and other activities to ensure the well-being of our workforce.

Discussions concluded with plans for future activities related to EHS and key initiatives for the upcoming fiscal year.

Plant tour

The EHS managers had the opportunity to tour the SEKISUI ESLON plant, including a visit to the new FFU factory. This tour provided valuable insights into our latest safety practices and innovations.
